Curious about what’s new in Brooklyn-based small batch food and drink? The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is bringing together borough favorites including Steve’s Ice Cream, Sohha Savory Yogurt, and Raaka Chocolate alongside New York State craft beverages for a new walk-around tasting, CheersNY, kicking off October 3.

The weekend-long Industry City event is the result of a collaboration between the Chamber of Commerce and the state of New York. “Two of our main goals at the Chamber are tourism and growing the incredible food and beverage manufacturing scene in Brooklyn,” Chamber president Carlo Scissora tells us. Belonging to the Chamber “really helps [food and beverage manufacturers] raise their profile and grow their businesses.”

Tickets for tasting floor access, which includes unlimited sips from participating producers, cost $50 and are available here. The $10 option includes access to pay-as-you-go beer gardens and the food marketplace.

Participating beverage makers will be arriving from all over the state and include Industry City’s own distillery and favorites from further afield like Cooperstown Distillery and Black Button Distilling.

The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is also subsidizing the cost of beverage makers’ attendance at the San Francisco Fancy Food Show. They’ll be hosting their own CheersNY section at the event to help New York brands reach a nationwide audience.

Edible Brooklyn is a proud media sponsor of CheersNY.
