From their big helping of lasagna, to a selection of paninis that will please vegetarians and vegans, to the gelato. The business is particularly focused on sustainable, responsible sourcing, using local and organic ingredients when possible and only the best from elsewhere, like fair-trade chocolate from the Dominican Republic, almonds from Sicily, hazelnuts from Piedmont and licorice from Calabria. Seasonality, of course, is another tenet of their food philosophy. They even serve savory gelato, like lettuce or green beans and mint. With a small grocery selection, as well, Albero makes itself the perfect relaxing lunch spot.
