There’s no time like the present to buff up on your culinary competence. Whether it’s a class on knife skills or a guided Riesling tasting you crave, check out our Edible Guide for links to more than a dozen culinary education centers where you can sign up today.
We’re still coming down from our Eat Drink Local Week buzz (Without the ingredients of the week, what will we eat??) and reminiscing about our favorite events. For one of them–Meet Your Maker–we teamed up with the Brooklyn Brewery, Brooklyn Winery and NY Distilling Co. for behind-the-scenes tours of their facilities and learned how some of our favorite local beer, wine and spirits are made.
We’ve got a Breville blender to give away to some lucky Edible reader who refers a friend to sign up for our email newsletter. Plus, the more friends you refer, the more chances you have to win!
This week’s winner got to take home this awesome Breville food processor. Stay tuned for our refer-a-friend drawing when we’ll be giving away more of these sweet prizes: a Breville immersion blender or blender, a Bodum Frykat grill, Rick’s Pick’s tasty pickles, a bottle of Brooklyn Brewery’s latest Brewmaster Reserve, tickets to our events, or a free Foodie Special subscription to Edible Brooklyn, Edible Manhattan and Edible East End.
Delicious dairy, wonderful wine–it’s all coming up in the next few weeks on the Edible events front.
We’ve got dairy, we’ve got food trucks and we’ve got wine! Basically, your taste buds will be spoiled rotten over the next few months.
Food trucks are synonymous with on-the-go eating, but every once and while, it’s nice to be able to sit down with it, enjoy several courses of it, and pair it with beers from the Brooklyn Brewery.
Ever dream of having all of your favorite food trucks parked in one spot, serving up all of your favorite bites? Well, on Wednesday, April 18th at the Brooklyn Brewery, we’re making dreams come true with The Drive-In Dinner.
There’s something about Tuesday that’s maybe a bit blah. It’s not quite Monday, but it’s definitely not Friday. Why not add some tasty excitement to it with a ticket to Good Spirits on February 28th from 6-9pm? You’d better hurry though, because they are flying. You won’t want to miss out on food and drink from over 50 of the city’s best restaurants and distillers, all for just $45.
As February approaches, we’re getting more and more excited about this year’s first edition of Good Spirits, our seasonal cocktail event held at 82 Mercer on February 28. (Which just happens to be the birthday of our events director Sam Seier, so when she runs past you to make sure there are napkins at The Beagle table and ice for the guys making drinks with El Buho Mezcal, please wish her a good one.)
We can’t wait to see what places like The Beagle or Monument Lane and Fort Reno will feed us, or what “good spirits” we’re going to drink made from El Buho, Privateer Rum or Bache Gabrielsen. It’ll all be great, for sure, so headed over here to purchase your $45 ticket to join us (and wish Sam a happy birthday). In the meantime, sign up for our email newsletter at right to stay on top of other food and drink events in the city like these two book release parties:
It’s beginning to feel a lot like winter, right? Mittens, scarves and puffy parkas are all well and good, but when it comes to warming seriously chilled bones, they can’t quite compete with stiff drink. It’s safe to say that February will be frigid, so prepare early and get your tickets (available here) to Good Spirits, the seasonally inspired cocktail event we’ll be co-hosting with Edible Manhattan on February 28th from 6 to 9 pm at 82 Mercer in Soho. Until then, below is the roster of this year’s participants to get you excited. Be sure to check out the citywide Events Calendar Edible Manhattan keeps for other great happenings going on around town, too.
