Can you believe that this is the first Drink Local Week by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce? It seems like such an essential idea, considering the wealth of great bars, distilleries, breweries and even wineries in the borough. But it is, so we’re going to heed their directive and drink local for seven whole days.

From October 20th through 26th, promotions will run at various spots in the city, with a major kickoff party on October 19th at the Navy Yard—home to both Rooftop Reds and Kings County Distillery. There will be light hors d’oeuvres, snacks and drinks, so that you can begin this week of imbibing in style.

Other partner venues who will be running specials include Stinky Bklyn, Red Hook Winery, Kings County Brewers Collective, Coney Island Brewery, The Noble Experiment NYC, 61 Local, Smith & Vine, and more. Check out the website for a full list and more extensive details.
