Whether your idea of a seasonal cocktail involves setting your G&T on this felt leaf coaster or you’re just looking for inspiration for your annual hot toddy revamp, we’re hosting a fall cocktail contest and we need you to judge it. Starting in mid-October, we’re partnering with George Dickel Whisky to challenge bartenders across the city to create whisky-based drinks featuring at least one seasonal ingredient.
Here’s how it works: Participating bartenders put a whisky-based seasonal cocktail on their menus for one month between November 1and December 2, and you vote for your favorite on our site (after sampling the drinks at each respective bar, of course). Fall in love with your Manhattan and forget to check out the competition? Don’t worry, your vote still counts.
Some of our favorite bars including Redfarm, Gran Electrica and Knickerbocker Hotel have already signed on, and registration is open through October 31. The winning bartender will get a cool $2,500 in cash and Edible profile.
