From our organizers:
Join the Environmental Performance Agency for a performative field study exploring the agency of spontaneous urban plants (aka weeds) found on Swale and the surrounding borderlands of the Brooklyn Army Terminal. Through a series of embodied science practices and movement scores that draw from the wisdom of weedy plants and feral landscapes we will question the recent changes to US EPA policy regarding the use of public lands and how to give agency and voice to under-recognized organisms and ecosystems in NYC. Co-led by EPA agents Andrea Haenggi, Catherine Grau and Christopher Kennedy.
No previous experience needed, all are welcome!
