We can’t wait to see y’all at our first TOC reading of 2019 at Egg! 2018 was a special year for us, and we have a LOT in the works for 2019 that we can’t wait to tell you about. But we must wait. So we’ll just tell you about our dope upcoming reading on January 30th instead.
Idra Novey (THOSE WHO KNEW), Krystal Sital (SECRETS WE KEPT: THREE WOMEN OF TRINIDAD) and Anna Pitoniak (NECESSARY PEOPLE) will be kicking off our year, and chef Evan Hanczor will pair each reading with a textually-inspired snack. A Q&A and discussion between Evan and the authors will round out the night.
For THOSE WHO KNOW (see what we did there?), we’re changing things up a little this year. One frustration we’ve noticed in the past is an RSVP attrition rate that leaves us with sad, empty seats, a bummer for us and our authors alike. To try to avoid that, we’re now selling tickets online! We’ve also nudged the price up to $15 , which still covers the readings, snacks, and one drink ticket per person (and is still, in our minds, one of the best deals in town). We’ll reserve a handful of seats for walk-ins, but since the readings have been in the habit of filling up quickly we highly recommend snagging those tickets ahead of time.
Additional drinks (beer, wine, and local hard cider from Eve’s Cidery) will be available for purchase, and McNally Jackson will be in the house selling books as usual!
Feel free to write us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. Hope to see you at the table.
