According to the organizers:
The Anarchist Emma Goldman said, “If I can’t dance to it, it’s not my revolution.” So kick up your heels, raise a glass, and join us at Archestratus Books on June 14th at 7:30p for Revolutionary Feasts: The Saloon Agitators. We’ll learn about how the saloons, cafes and theaters of the Lower East Side nurtured the “beautiful ideal” of anarchist revolution at the turn of the 20th century. Along the way we’ll meet “the priestess of Anarchy,” the “Rebel Girl” and a host of radical personalities as we honor the neighborhood’s history of rebellion. $25 includes a beer and some tasty period appropriate bar grub!
