From our organizers:
Take a walk or bike ride along the historic, scenic waterfront of Red Hook, south of Carroll Gardens and in sight of the Statue of Liberty and discover culinary treasures. Consider taking the NYC Ferry or B61 or even Ikea ferry – or hop on a bike from Brooklyn Bridge Park. Try sumptuous food and drink from new and longtime establishments. Plus free soccer for kids, art displays and our famous youth-run Hip2B Healthy Markets.
Kids and families! We’ll be offering kid-friendly soccer and our famous youth-run Hip2B Healthy Markets. All kids welcome to help!
Tastes of Brooklyn and Seeds in the Middle are honored to partner with the Red Hook Art Project to create a unique Red Hook event that supports youth in Brooklyn’s neediest communities.
Menu? Go around the world in cuisine in just blocks! Try specialty cocktails at distinctive bars, bbq fine wine and more. See the online map here at bit.ly/redhookcrawlmap
The Red Hook Food and Drink Crawl is a brand new event, but it’s our fourth festival celebrating local Brooklyn talent this year with more to come in the fall. Tastes of Franklin Festival was June 2, Carroll Gardens-Cobble Hill Crawl was May 4, and our premiere Tastes of Gowanus rocked on April 13. We’ll be returning there in the fall, plus two more neighborhoods – Columbia Waterfront and Prospect Lefferts Gardens. See tastesofbrooklyn.com
Proceeds support Seeds in the Middle’s programs to empower youth in central Brooklyn’s food deserts (obesity and diabetes epidemic) to create Hip2B Healthy Markets, get fit and grow food so they can create healthier environments for all, and the Red Hook Art Project. Seeds in the Middle is a 501c3 charity, so donations are tax-exempt in accordance with the law.
