Oyster Culture and Sustainable Seafood Workshop

Event Navigation

According to the organizers:

Take your knowledge of sustainable seafood to the next level with this interactive workshop about oyster culture and climate-smart ocean fish farming, hosted by the experts at Element Seafood. We’ll first cover the often misunderstood world of aquaculture, then explore the nuances of oyster geography and “merroir.” You’ll master the art of shucking, accompanied by a tasting of 6 oysters. Following the oyster primer, we’ll have a discussion about sustainable fish farming and why barramundi has been heralded as “the perfect fish for a changing world.”

You’ll get to taste two delicious barramundi preparations. This is the perfect opportunity learn how incorporating seafood into your menu can be environmentally and financially sustainable for your business.

Plus, taste some delicious wine from Proud Pour, which restores 100 wild oysters per bottle sold.
