From our organizers:
Learn to identify the amazing range of wild edible plants that grow along the East River, in Brooklyn Bridge Park, before exploring the wild vegetation Columbia Street and finishing at The Gowanus Nursery. Many of the plants we will meet are native to the Northeast and could easily be incorporated into home and kitchen gardens, offering a versatile range of flavors, scents and texture.
We will break for a lawn-brunch featuring be balm biscuits, carrot and sumac pâté, spicebush ham, and low ABV green plum and bee balm beachplum cocktails.
More info and meet-up details will be emailed to you in the week of the walk.
