The Edible Guide

Our picks for where to eat, drink and shop in Brooklyn.

Visitors to the Brooklyn Flea were coming for more than the crafts, and so the ever-popular food vendors expanded into their own weekly market, Smorgasburg. Held every Saturday from April to November — rain or shine — on the Williamsburg waterfront and Sundays on the DUMBO waterfront at the historic Tobacco Warehouse, Smorgasburg hosts 75-100 of the city’s finest prepared and artisanal food vendors. —Michelle Kiefer Smorgasburg happens in two locations every weekend: Saturdays at East River State Park — Kent Ave. and N. 7 St. — on the Williamsburg waterfront; and Sundays at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 5. Both locations are open from 11am to 6pm, and feature packaged and prepared foods, beverages, and more from purveyors from New York City and across the region, for a total of 75-100 vendors. The markets are always open rain or shine.
