According to the organizers:
Brooklyn Flea + Smorgasburg are moving to super-cool Industry City in Sunset Park for the winter! Starting October 17 + 18, you’ll find 100 of your favorite Flea vendors (plus some new faces) selling furniture, vintage clothing, collectibles and antiques, plus a jewelry, art, and handcrafted items. Don’t fear: Smorgasburg will be indoors all winter too, with 40 of our most popular vendors. (We’ll post a full lineup in a month or so.)
The gigantic market will be held in a 50,000 square-foot space overlooking the Manhattan skyline from the second floor, every weekend through March 2016, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The entrance address is 241 37th Street, just two blocks from the 36th Street D/N/R subway station—only two stops from Manhattan on the D train!—and a short walk from the B35, B38 and B70 bus stops. The 39th Street exit off the Gowanus Expressway/BQE also takes you pretty much to our doorstep (and to the second-busiest Costco in America next door.)
The markets will add to Industry City’s growing weekend attractions, including the long-running Mister Sunday dance party (their finale on October 18 is our opening weekend), Design Within Reach’s new outlet location. Plus, theBrooklyn Nets‘ practice facility, just blocks away, is slated to open in February 2016.
We’re really excited about our new fall/winter home and can’t wait to see you at Industry City.
