From our organizers:
Knights of the Raj NYC is an immersive arts experience that beautifully captures the struggles and the stories behind the people who make up the largest Bangladeshi community in the United States, the people who brought curry to New York City restaurants.
Knights of the Raj NYC inserts visitors directly into the lives of the people behind the food. They live above restaurants or in cramped housing quarters near those restaurants or halal carts; with this exhibition at MOFAD, visitors will gain insight into their home lives.
Limited capacity and limited engagement! Knights of the Raj NYC will be on show at MOFAD from July 20 through August 5 with timed entry from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Tickets include a three-course tasting menu of Bangladeshi street food and British style curries at the MOFAD culinary studio. Opening weekend (July 20-22) will include traditional Bangladeshi music.
Please note that we cannot guarantee dietary accommodations.
Approximate visit duration is 30 minutes. Chow: Making the Chinese American Restaurant will also be on show. Walk-ins are welcome, but online purchase guarantees entry. Day-of tickets are available online until 6 pm.
