As we bid farewell to the high heat of summer, we’re nourishing ourselves to the max as nature intended, taking an Ayurvedic approach to fueling our bodies and souls. Led by the extraordinary Raj Barker, you’ll prepare a seasonal menu incorporating healing dishes such as cooling, turmeric spiked raita, and sprouted tabouli with the best of the season’s produce.
An inquisitive student + teacher of yoga, Raj earned her Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine in her native Australia before relocating to Brooklyn New York. In addition to her experience as a one on one nutrition consultant and recipe developer for popular plant-based food service Sakara Life., Raj serves as a teacher at The Class by Taryn Toomey, a spiritually empowering fitness experience that has generated a cult following nationwide. Raj has an innate curiosity for the healing power of food as medicine, + her nutrition consults have a strong focus on plant-based food, as well as daily rituals to support the body’s natural ability to heal skin and thrive.
