The kitchen can be daunting, particularly for those approaching cooking for the first time, but it needn’t be. Whether you’re a novice cook or complete beginner, we’re here to guide you through the basics and build your culinary confidence so you can identify what tastes good to you. In this six week course, we’ll arm you with the fundamental tools to understand, explore and develop your own personal tastes. You’ll master essential techniques in knife skills, searing, sauteeing, roasting, blanching and learn about the importance of advance preparation to save you time and stress. In the final class of the series, you’ll use the skills you’ve acquired to create a dish entirely your own, from scratch, to share with your fellow students.
