Betty Brooklyn Catering Co. is hosting a Provencal pop-up dinner on August 12, 2015. The menu was influenced by the owner, Betty’s time spent farming in the South of France and evokes the flavors and aromas of Provence in late summer – ripe local fruits & vegetables, locally raised meats & fish and scents of anise hyssop & lavender.
Produce, meat and dairy will be sourced through Local Bushel. Local Bushel supports sustainable agriculture, local farmers harvesting seasonal produce, and animals are raised out of confinement. The owner of Local Bushel, Carl Chastain will be in attendance to talk briefly about his work with local farms.
