Think you’d like to do more than just browse at this summer’s Fancy Food Show? Apply now for the New York City Economic Development Corporation’s Taste of NYC Fancy Food Fellowship and win an opportunity to have an all-expenses-paid booth at the trade show. The fellowship is meant to elevate promising immigrant entrepreneurs in the food community and facilitate networking between new producers and retailers, distributors, restauranteurs and investors.

NYCEDC will select four winners to receive fellowships valued at about $4,000 each. In addition to a booth at the show, winners will be given a one-year membership to the Specialty Food Association and an all-access pass to the show. This is part of a larger suite of immigrant entrepreneur initiatives based on a perceived need for improved access to professional networks. NYCEDC also sponsors a yearly competition for immigrant entrepreneurs beyond the food community.

The fellowship is focused on but not limited to companies that are immigrant-owned and operated. They’ll be reviewing all applications that comply with the Specialty Food Association’s membership guidelines. Apply here by February 27.
