It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by this holiday, so we’ve made it easy for you this year. Here it is — our guide to Thanksgiving, with one recommendation for each category: the turkey, the pie, the wine, the rest and the flowers.

The turkey:
Fleisher’s: If you’re trying to keep Thanksgiving local, there’s nowhere better to do so than with Fleisher’s. This year their pasture-raised, no-hormone, no-antibiotic, certified organic turkeys are from Hidden Camp Farm in Canajoharie, NY. Like all Fleisher’s products, they’re slaughtered, shipped and sold locally, so your dollar stays right here in New York. BONUS: Fleisher’s provides you with many of the necessary accouterments for your Thanksgiving feast including their turkey, chicken, beef, and pork bone broths, turkey parts, sage sausage for stuffing, meat thermometers, farm fresh eggs, and nitrate free bacon. Get their tips on preparing the bird here, too.

The pie:
Pie Corps: Be a pie-oneer this year and try Pie Corps’ roast turkey pie with sweet potato and rosemary. Pie Corps, a Greenpoint-based company, has everything from spiced pumpkin pie with brown butter crumb, to sweet cranberry with orange rosemary cobbler and drunken pear lattice. For savory palates, they also offer a kale and goat cheese soufflé. Make sure to try their apple pie pops or pumpkin crumb pie pops: a pie on a stick.

The wine:
Brooklyn Oenology: Alie Shaper, the person behind Brooklyn Oenology, cares about pairing local flavors with labels created by Brooklyn artists, creating unique bottles of wine. New York artists and New York state wines — sounds like the perfect combination for a happy Thanksdrinking. Brooklyn Oenology also has a tasting bar in Williamsburg if you want to give the wines a shot before buying them for Thanksgiving day. If you already know what you want, all of their wines are available for purchase in their online store and they can ship them right to your front door.

The rest:
Foragers: We love that Foragers has their own farm in Canaan, New York. And we love that they have so many vegetarian options on their menu. In the mood for a traditional, a vegetarian or a lighter Thanksgiving? Foragers has all you need to follow your mood. And if cooking’s not your thing, you can even order their dinner for up to 15 guests and everything will be done for you.

The flowers:
Brooklyn Plantology: A celebration is not a celebration if flowers are not involved. Brooklyn Plantology will get you covered. They’ve been opened since 1946 and have supplied Brooklyn in flowers and garden supplies ever since. This fourth generation family owned business offers any thing flower-related you need to make your table looks pretty, or bring to your hosts.
