According to the organizers:
Esme will be hosting Bruxo Mezcal, Duke’s Liquor Box, OddFellow’s Ice Cream and Archestratus Bookstore for an outdoor afternoon of tacos, mezcal tasting, cookbooks, cocktails and boozy popsicles.
The event will be on Saturday, August, 27th from 1 pm until 6 pm. Esme will be hosting the event in its backyard. They are located at 999 Manhattan Avenue, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, between Green Street and Huron Street, just one block north of the Greenpoint Avenue stop on the G train. .
As friends and local business owners, we wanted to come together to offer an event that would be fun for our patrons and neighbors in Greenpoint — and a reason to come and explore for those who may not be too familiar with our lovely neighborhood. Can you think of better reasons than tacos and mezcal?
Bruxo Mezcal will be on hand to offer informative tastings of their wide array of mezcal expressions. Oddfellow’s will supply mezcal popsicles and other frozen treats. Esme will be offering lamb barbacoa and chicken or nopales mole tacos, as well as delicious mezcal cocktails. Duke’s will be around to answer any of your agave-based spirit questions and Archestratus will bring along some of their favorite books about booze and food and be offering ice-cream sandwiches. The event is free to attend, with food and drink options ranging from $3-$10 per item.
