Cheers and Cheese

Edible is nearly as well known for our parties as for our printed publications. We host gatherings big and small, from kneading sessions for a bakers’ dozen to sold-out boozy bashes for 600. But our longest-running event just might be my favorite. Brooklyn Uncorked, Edible’s annual night of fine New York wine, now in its sixth year, convenes dozens of the Empire State’s most vaunted vintners for some serious swirling and sipping. The eats are excellent too, courtesy of killer kitchens including The Vanderbilt, The Good Fork and Red Hook Lobster Pound—not to mention a few favorites from across the river, like Hundred Acres and Gramercy Tavern.

This year we’ve outgrown our longtime BAM home and will instead live it up at the beautiful Skylight One Hanson space, big enough for even more wineries, snack stations and merrymakers (that would be you). And if this issue has you salivating for cultured milk as well as fermented grapes, nab a ticket to our newest party too: At Edible’s first-ever Good Dairy bash, we’ll nom, nibble and nosh on sweet and savory milky mouthfuls from the likes of Stinky Bklyn, Organic Valley, Murray’s Cheese, Vermont Butter & Cheese, Momofuku Milk Bar and many more mongers. Say cheese!

Brooklyn Uncorked: Wed., May 9th, $35-45. Good Dairy: Wed., April 25th, $25. Details and tickets at ediblebrooklyn.com.
